My sister PB gave me the keys to her house while she’s away and said make yourself at home and so I did. I should send her a note letting her know she needs to make a pit stop on her return trip to restock her liquor cabinet.

Cheers also for the new combat boots that (epia) has released for this round of FaMESHed. The boots are mesh and 3D modeled to fit and come with 8 choices in texture for the boot and 3 for the metal. They can also be re sized by HUD or manually.

Feeling the music

I’m totally loving this long and curly hair by Analog Dog that I picked up at the Hair Fair. I have two nieces with hair like this in real life and they’re like the envy of many friends for having such glorious hair and I can see why. It’s got bounce and it does give me that feeling of wanting to dance.

The scene I created was with items that I grabbed when I visited the Indie Teepee event site on blogger day. If you haven’t heard of this event I am going to steer you to their website where you can read all about this event that endears us to a summer of music, art, film and fun plus a section for shopping.

The tent, bed mats, fire and log are Jian’s latest creation for The Fantasy Collective. The tent and beds are texture change to fit your color taste and you also get several options with the fire and beds and log come with a handful of animations. The perfect set for your role-play needs.

The weekend is going by too fast for me, even though it’s a long one since tomorrow is memorial day and a holiday. It’s also the anniversary of my dad’s passing so this time also lends itself to feeling a little somber. Combine that with the recent events happening in my life it’s surely not put me in the most communicative mood lately, hence my posts without much to say other than posting credits.

I was in the middle of setting up this scene when a friend messaged me asking me what I was up to. We live on the same sim and yet rarely get to catch up since she’s in Europe and on usually when I’m at work and she’s asleep when I’m on at night. So it’s always nice to catch up with each other when we are online at the same time. She is also a great sport as I had her out of her fancy clothes in minutes and into a field jacket matching mine, but that was after having a giggle when she kept her high heels on. You can tell she’s never been camping.

W is for…(Challenge)

When I was going through my inventory looking for what I might use today for the letter “W” I somehow gravitated to these cleaning supplies from “What Next” that I had not used. They were part of this past month’s Arcade and can still be purchased at the main store. Taking a break from cleaning to give some thought to something that I have been pondering the last few days.

I have been thinking that it is time to change houses. This is probably the longest that I have kept a home without exchanging it in two weeks. The layout of the house is fairly simple and yet it’s been one of my favorites. This has made me very reluctant to change.

I don’t know what I am going to do about changing houses in the near future. Probably more than likely, as I have about three new homes in my inventory waiting to be given a try. For now I am just going to give up the pretense of cleaning and just relax. 🙂

I love small things like this mirror in Second Life and thought it was the perfect item to remind myself to do what this very lesson imparts.

Lesson 35: Put It On Paper!

Incomplete actions take up space in our awareness. When we retain information or unfinished to-dos in our minds rather than on a calendar or scheduling system, we become easily distracted from the truly important tasks.

If you’ve been feeling confused, unfocused, or scattered, this weekly assignment will give you some much-needed peace of mind. Just think: What else could you be dreaming, planning, and creating if your mind were relieved of all the details it’s been holding?

Your Self-Love Assignment

This is the week to put everything you’ve been holding in your head onto paper. Use the following questions to trigger your memory.

Are there appointments you need to make? The dentist? The accountant? The gardener? The hairdresser?
Are there phone calls or e-mails you need to return?
What other forms of communication do you need to deliver? Do you have birthday cards or thank-you notes to send?
Are there scraps of paper or sticky notes bearing useful information all over your home and car?
Are there items to be returned or bills to be paid?

After you’ve captured on paper everything that needs to get done, assign a specific date by which each item will be complete.

Self-Love Points Earned

Give yourself 50 points for each task you take out of your mind and put into your schedule.
