Happy Monday! Or let’s hope it is or was. I am happy to be showing you some wonderfully fantastic items of decor today. The creator behind [Tia], whose name is actually Tia, has made some great pieces for this round of Shiny Shabby. Her Valerie Lounge set is just amazing and so perfect for a white Christmas. I used every piece of the set as it was all so pretty to leave out any.

I’m also showing some wonderful pieces by Shutter Field in collaboration with Decor Junction; the white Christmas chair, blanket basket and the gift boxes fit right in with today’s scene.

I created this scene using the new Aspen cabin by DaD Designs, but I will be featuring that tomorrow or later tonight maybe so I won’t give too many details other than to say it’s another super home with snow add on for the winter season.

The Cranmore

I mentioned in my blog post yesterday that today I would be featuring a new home. So today I bring you The Cranmore by creator Cain Maven. If you’ve been around Second Life for a while you’re probably already familiar with his homes under his brands Maven Homes and also Quantum Luxury Homes.

Both brands offer you high quality homes in various styles in a wide range of prices. Though having just recently toured one of the previous new releases, the “Roma” home, beautiful large luxury home is almost too simple to describe the beauty and magnificence in size and looks of that particular home.

The Cranmore is way smaller in comparison, but it’s also not a small home either at a size of 32 m x 35 m. It’s a bit of a mixed brick style build as you get a bit of a renovated barn with an industrial rustic feel with a touch of modernness. What I especially liked immediately upon entering the home was the sense of not feeling like I was boxed in. I think that’s attributed to the openness, large picture windows and the high ceilings, which is something you don’t find a lot these days.

The rooms in the house include a bedroom, bathroom, front room, a kitchen with a dining/living room space and attic. The kitchen and bathroom decor is removable. I had a little fun decorating the kitchen with old and new items. The kitchen as mentioned is an open plan where you have the dining room and another living room space. The picture below shows the other side of the kitchen as you enter it through the open barn doors.

You can see the attic space in the picture above that gives you another level to put in another bedroom, office or another sitting area. Plus you can see what I mean about the openness and high ceilings.

Above is the bathroom and the next picture is the bedroom. Just take a look at the realistic detail of the materials used.

In the second picture you saw the home from the back and you see the big window just behind the green loungers, which are another collaboration by Shutter Field and Decor Junction and are available currently at Tres Chic.

If you click the window or the wheel on the wall, you will see the wheel begin to spin as the window opens, giving you this wonderful view out or whatever view you may have once positioned. You can see my hands there as I am taking a breather enjoying the night hours and the flock of birds. Now most species of birds rest during the night as I came to read, though there are some birds like for instance some sparrows that fly at night during migration periods. I think it was one of those periods.

Just us “guys” hanging out

I took a hiatus for a day to get some fantasy posts done on my Alexa’s Fantasy Wardrobe Blog, but I’m back again today to show you some more awesome decor.

The first is this new release that is an exclusive for the SwagBag Event tailored for men. This is a themed crate event, similar to Luxe Box, where the crate is delivered on the 1st of each month with fifteen unique items that are made exclusively for this event. If you miss grabbing the crate during the open period, you will only be able to purchase those particular items as a previous Swagbag at twice the price the month after its release. Below credits I’ve put some additional information that the creator has provided on this set that is included in your delivery box with purchase.

Next I’m featuring another fantastic collection by JIAN. This time they brings us raccoons, which are fantastically detailed. Man Cave Set ~
The fridge is an object/landmark/notecard giver, so, just put inside what you want FULL PERM, and by clicking on, all can have it (inside there is some example to wear…yeah…BEERS! cheers^^).

The lamp have a notecard inside (editable) where you can set your preferred light/glow/color etc (very simple to use, just open it and edit), or, if you want, just hold click on for 5 seconds, and a menu appear (just when you turn off the lights, all come back to the old setting about the notecard).

The guitar, is a little jukebox, have inside 4 fine high detailed guitar songs, just click on it and choose your, or if you prefer, just put inside your own splitted music (as usual for objects that have sounds/music).

Precious moments treasured

Happy Friday to everyone.

Today I am doing a fashion post featuring a few items from this round of On9 and some from Kustom9. The first is a new skin by Essences, which is Sophia and it’s a head applier for the Catwa mesh head. It comes available in 6 skin tones and the one I’m wearing is medium tone one. What I like about this skin is the thickness and darkness of the eyebrows. The lipstick is not part of the skin, but from Alaskametro<3 and it’s a 6 color Dryad set as an applier for Catwa at On9.

These lovely earrings in a rich citrine color I am wearing are from Kunglers. I wish that I could pull these off in real life, though with my small ears I feel the weight of almost any earrings I wear to be too uncomfortable. You will find these at On9, as well as the hair by EMO-tions. Melanie is rigged mesh hair and there are three versions included that sit the hair on your front slightly different. I chose one that would not hide the earrings and the tattoo.

The tattoo is a recently released one from Aurica Store. It’s called music and it’s got a guitar and musical notes embedded throughout its design, which makes it kind of cool for those music lovers. You can find it at the main store.

The dress I’m wearing is from Empire and at Kustom9. We know this creator for her awesome shoes, but she’s getting into fashion now too and this dress is not a disappointment as it has open back view and gives a lovely curvature to your behind. I’m wearing the one for Maitreya, but it’s also made for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Physique and Venus and a color hud with 20 choices.

The last item are the Savanna shoes by ChicChica at On9. They were practically a great fit to go with this dress. They are available in six colors and are made for Maitreya, Slink and Belleza. I really like how feminine these shoes look and especially the little flower accent at the the front.

Edited to include additional credits on the decor and mainly the dog, which I can’t believe that I totally missed it. The dog is from Jian’s Hallow-Inu gacha set at the Epiphany. I’ve previously showed one of the prince doggo, one of the rare dogs and this is one of the common wanderer dogs.

Game on boys

I’m participating in the Geeks ‘n’ Nerds Fair this year. It’s set to open the doors in a few days on October 22nd. It has a bit of everything for you to get your geekiness or nerdiest on.

Today I am showing a game master table with chairs and accessories set by Fiasco. The set comes with a decorated version set up as well as the individual pieces that you could use on their own or create your own game setup. The table with decorated game has a land impact of 5 with chairs being 2 and other individual games pieces with 1. The event will be open until November 5th. The poster below does not have the correct dates, as the event was pushed back as a result of Hurricane Mathew.

I’m also showing wall cubes in orange and black, the black planter and cube display decor pieces by ChiC buildings, available now at On9. This set is available in both black and orange at the event. I’m showing also a decor piece by ::New Church::, which is the TERRORium, called the Tree of Sorrow that sits on the cubes in the corner.

The vintage lovecraft comics on the floor are by [noctis] and available at Genre currently. The grid stander on the wall with the decor and other near the curtain wall is by Elysium and available at Totally Top Shelf. The last item being featured is the rustic bench, a collaboration between Shutter Field and Decor Junction. All great decor pieces for your decorating needs.

Though as an adult I’ve carved a few for my mother who usually makes a traditional Mexican pumpkin candy, referred to as “Dulce de Calabaza“. It’s a candy that can be eaten all year round, it’s got a bit of a hard shell on the outside and sweet and juicy on the inside, if a bit gooey.

This pumpkin carving animation is part of the hay wagon that is a collaboration between Decor Junction and Shutter Field for this round of On9. The wagon has single, couple and activities that are available by menu. I’m showing the rustic version, but you will find a grey version available as well and both have a land impact of only 5. It’s a fabulous decor piece for any landscape where you want that bit of rustic or country feel.

I’m also showing the Autumn Carriage House by Hive, which is available at Collabor88. The carriage home has a land impact of 47, with an open room on the bottom with static pull down stairs that lead to the top level where you have another open room. It’s quite cozy and serves for a great little get away place.

The last item that I am featuring is the rare 2-pumpkin hay bales near the carriage house by Bee Designs. However, in my picture I modded them by making the pumpkins invisible. I have included the gacha vendor ad below so that you get a proper viewing of the hay bales, that I will feature again with some more Fall/Halloween pieces as the holiday approaches.
