Greetings everyone!! I started to write this before having to step out, but ran out of time and so I had to come back and re-write a few lines. Today I’m showcasing another awesome set by DRD. The Spiritualists Shoppe is available at the Seasons of the Witch Event that is ongoing until November 4th. The top photo is the shoppe, that despite its spookiness factor really is quite quaint and inviting.

The items can be purchased as a complete set or by individual pieces. I tried to showcase as much as possible, but this set is a must see in person. Though if you’re like me I like to also read and get a glimpse of it before visiting an event, so I am providing you links to the DRD website here and Flickr.

Thanks to my friend Sita, who stopped by for a visit so that we ended up not only chatting, but collaborating as well. She’s wearing a marvelous gown by The White Armory, which I wouldn’t mind having myself. I don’t have her information, so will link you to her blog for details. She’s a spinner of marvelous tales, so make sure you check out her work!

I’m also showing this months group gift (frame with knife sticking out) for DRD, which seemed to fit just perfect with this set, so make sure you go grab yours if you’re a member and if you’re not — what are you waiting for??

I’m showing this free spirited outfit by Luas, which is currently at Tres Chic. It’s a gacha with 12 commons and no rares. If you want to take a look at the colors and other options available, click here to the creators flickr. The lipstick that I am wearing is by Zibska and it is the Visare pack available at Shiny Shabby. It has 30 colors and it’s unisex and made for TMP/Catwa/Lelutka/Omega and also tattoo layers. You can take a look at the options here. I normally blog her items on my fantasy blog, but Zibska is an amazing creator and a remarkable talent. Just take a look at her awesome pictures.

The hair is called Farah, and its by Sn@tch at Genre. The theme for this round is disco and that era pertains to the late 60s and early 70s. I don’t know specifically, though this hair may be styled after the actress Farah Fawcett that played in the Charlie’s Angels sitcom that ran in the late 70s.

I am also featuring the birdcage gazebo by SAYO, which is available at the ongoing round of Draftsman. It’s available in a few other colors.

The pose is another in the Katya series by K&S Poses. The handbag when worn modded the angle of the hand with its own animation, so just to note.

Sometimes being with friends is all the therapy you need

It’s not often that I get to spend any time together in the same room with these two ladies that are friends and also part of my SL family. While two of us share the same time zone and are in the same country the other is in another part of the world 14 hours time difference.

Though when we get an opportunity to hang together, it’s always a lovely time. The conversation just flows and ranges from what we had for breakfast or dinner, the joys and struggles we may be experiencing in our lives to whatever event is going on in this world we inhabit in our down time. It really doesn’t matter what we talk about ~ it’s just an opportunity to connect with people with common interests who care for one another.

Aphrodite made it possible to share in this moment together with their summer pool party items currently available at the Cosmopolitan Event. The inflatable floater sits up to six people and has 1o sits for each sit. You get a few color choices for the floater with just a click that brings up the menu. It also includes the inflatable floating drinks cooler that comes in four options: soda, juices, booze or beer.

Next, are the beach tropic decor items by [CIRCA] now available at the main store. The lounger set has two chairs that come with 10 animations each and is perfect for around the pool or just outdoors to enjoy the last rays of summer. Not shown is a small table with tropical drinks. I like the palm motif decor, and would work wonders indoors as well when you want to bring the sunshine inside.

Me dijo, eres dulce y mala al mismo tiempo

I really loved this table and chair set that [noctis] created for The Fantasy Collective, because it reminds me of the furniture from some of my border trips to Mexico. I call them border trips as they were only visits that didn’t venture beyond a couple of cities from the border line. My very first trip was while visiting San Diego, California and crossing over the bridge to Mexico through Tijuana. I will never forget that trip as it was heart wrenching to see little children no more than 5 years of age panhandling for money. Another border trip was through Hidalgo, Texas when I was actually in Fort Worth and our party made the jaunt to McAllen and then on to Mexico.

It’s a pity that now those trips across the border are not considered the most safe, but who knows what the future brings.

Thief of Hearts

This round of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival has several themes: rogue, thief, fairy tales, fables and folklore. I am wearing several of the thief creations by [MeshedUp], which come in either brown and gray. The first item is the ultra rare spears shell that is amazing in detail as you can see in the close up below that show you the colors as well. The set also includes the rare hood, common neck collar, forearm and upper arm bracelets.

The other thief items I am wearing are from Luas gacha machine. The heart on a chain and nail is actually a trap for role-play use and available today for 30L Saturday. See the credits for all the information.

I’m a bit squirrely.

Only because I spent the good majority of my time in Second Life this evening resolving my issue of not being able to use shadows and was successful only to not even use the picture showing the shadows. Maybe tomorrow.

To make a long story short. I updated my driver, which after some slight adjustments fixed the crashing problem when I enabled advanced lighting. Though if it were that easy. That in turn created a problem of mesh going invincible as a result of the AMD Catalyst 14.12 driver not rendering rigged mesh unless the hardware skinning is disabled. Well doing that meant I couldn’t use advanced lighting and that means no shadows. A little more researching the issue led me to Inara Pey’s blog, where it provided a workaround to this problem. Basically copying some DLL files and placing them into your viewer folder and that ultimately solved the last problem.

I feel all sorts of accomplished now.
