It’s been a few months now since I last decorated a kitchen, which are really fun to do.  I just get a little challenged when it comes to trying to find the right pieces. I have lots of kitchen decor. I know it. It’s somewhere in my inventory. I just draw a blank when it comes to remembering exactly what I have. The names of the items. Scrolling through my Flickr can be useful at times. Sometimes I do remember the creator and that helps a lot too.

Like last night I asked a friend who has a big round carpet. I’ve seen this carpet all over Flickr before so I know it exists.  I just can’t recall where it’s from. Then it hit me… Consignment I asked? She laughed and said it was a difficult question. I was right on the creator. I even owned the carpet. I just had to go to their store to look up the name.

Do you all have the same problem? Tell me I’m not alone. 🙂

Today’s post is about this month’s round of Deco(c)rate. The rustic blue cabinetry is the Southern Kitchen set by Chez Moi, whose participating this month. The island is adult rated and the rest of the pieces are pg rated. It’s a lovely set that comes full of animations, some of which have rezzable props.

I’m also featuring some pieces from the Kitchen Corner gacha set by Serenity Style. The set is a previous event release and now available at the main store.  Then I’m also showing a shelf by YS&YS from one of their past gacha sets and the cross decor from Bee Designs Viva Mexico! gacha. It’s available at SaNaRae a few more days. The rest of the items used are all detailed under credits.

Hope it’s been a great weekend for everyone.  Today I am showing this fantastic new kitchen by [Tia] out now at Shiny Shabby.  You can get pieces individually or as a pack. My favorite thing about it is the color options just by clicking on the individual pieces.  I was thinking to go with pink and then I thought let me make it appealing to both sexes as I can’t imagine many guys liking a pink kitchen. Though I left all these cute pink pigs out and the back-splash in pink.

I’m also wearing a new hair style by Iconic called Ella out now at Tres Chic and the cute floral romper is by The Annex out at the same event.  You can find both in different color options.

These cute Pomeranians puffballs are Jian’s creation for this round of The Gacha Garden.  I have most of the set here, except the ones that are bundled up with with winter hats and scarfs.  While I have them out to show you, most of them minus the wagon and sleeping puff, are attachable so that they walk or run along side of you.

Make sure you check out the web site for the The Gacha Garden.  This is a different kind of event, where every 20 plays of a machine gets you a special gift known as the Seed of Inspiration.  Jian’s is Duke Puffington Esq., not pictured, but is a dapper young puff that sports a bow tie, monocle and top hat.

I took these pictures not knowing how they would ultimately symbolize the sense of vulnerability that I’m feeling inside just now.  Being fully naked with my emotions doesn’t come easy to me and I’m not one to bare my soul very often.  Even when I first started to write snippets of my real life on this blog it came with a small amount of anxiety. That has lessened over time though I will probably only share glimpses from time to time as I do now of a whole bunch of a lot of nothing.

I’m going to bare my soul a little.  I spoke to someone that I hadn’t spoken to in what feels was a very long time.  The distance created by circumstances and a decision that I had to ultimately make a certain amount of peace with.

It wasn’t a long conversation.  In fact, it was probably all of about ten minutes and yet those minutes were enough to send my emotions into overdrive and leave me feeling bare and naked.  I missed you more than you know.

This round of the fantasy gacha has a lot of great nice sexy looking creations, which will require showing a lot more skin that I am today.  Though many pieces can be worn with other creative outfits as well.  It’s worth the visit to the event even if you don’t role-play.  Though you might want to wait until it’s not so full.

It can sometimes be amusing to read local chat and during one of my visits, because I have had to go in short stints of time to get through everything due to the slowness of my internet these days.  So during a recent visit this woman remarks that she just might have to join Gor, being there are a lot more sexy male pixels these days in it.  It made me chuckle and as I strolled around I tried paying a little more attention to the male pixels that were roaming around.

I think that I’m in agreement with this woman, at the least the part that there are some very nice put together male avatars.  Thinking on it there is a certain appeal for that whole male warrior who wield their weapons and shield to protect you.   I think… that I need a hero.

I didn’t have any plans to blog today.  It’s been a hectic last few days at work and then the whole preparing for Thanksgiving and then you add the consumption of so much food from the meal that I was just in a state to take it easy.  Though after spending a little time with a close friend I decided to bounce around a few stores that had a Black Friday sale without any real intent.  It was during my visit to the Dead Dollz store when the view outside happened to catch my attention and so I aimed my camera out to take a closer look.  I found this cafe that was beautifully set up and well after a few minutes I had selected a wind light and my camera naturally started clicking.

I tried something a little different and that is using a texture as a background and then just added some light in a couple of places.  I much prefer setting up a scene or going on location though using this method can be useful at times.
