Here Comes The Rain Again

There is rumbling in the sky as we’re about to have some severe weather this afternoon.  It’s been raining softly so far with just a bit of wind, but within a couple hours it’s supposed to be really coming down hard and furious.  I like rain showers, so bring it on.

Before I lose power, which is often the case at times when we have these intense storms, let me get this blog post done.  I’m showcasing this 17x8x9m pavilion by The [Den.]. It’s 100% mesh and materials enabled for a land impact of 17.  It’s currently available at FaMESHed.

It’s a great furniture piece that has many uses, though I opted to create this relaxing and warm space to sit and ponder or to hang out with family and friends.

Piglets on the loose

When I was setting out the pigs for this picture it made me think of the words piggly wiggly, which comes from another childhood memory.  It’s a name of a grocery store primarily located in the southeastern part of the US.

How can you forget a store that had a smiling little pig as part of their logo and it be the first thing you would spot when you got near the store.  It makes me smile as I recall those trips to the store with my parents and siblings.

Just look at those faces!

These are just a few of the barnyard buddies that JIAN has created for this round of the Gacha Garden.  The whole set is 25 altogether, which is 22 commons and 3 rares and has piglets, rams and ponies as well as a hay feeder, water trough, hay bales and wheel barrow.

The expressions on the faces of the animals just make you laugh and sure to bring you lots of amusement.

A golden state of mind

The birdbath reminds of the bird that I use to have come chirping near my window for the longest time.  In the beginning there were times that it was a bit annoying as the sound would wake me up and then after a while the bird just became a part of my day.  It’s a sweet memory that made me smile.

Today I am featuring the hair and jewelry by LightStar that are available at Fair Play this month.  The hair comes in six different color pack options and come with the whimsical butterfly attachments.  The  necklace and jewelry are gacha items.

I’m also showing items by [CIRCA] that are currently at Fantasy Faire, which ends today.   The sleeping willow tree comes with a log that has sitting animations, that is not pictured. The bird bath is a relay for life item, so 100% of the proceeds go to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.

I haven’t been blogging as daily as I used to because I’ve been aiming to have a little more fun in my life.

Recently in a response to a comment that I made to a post of one of my favorite blogs that I read that is unrelated to Second Life, the words… “I’ve even missed me” touched a chord inside me.  Yes, sometimes the most simplest of words can have the most meaning.

It resonates as I feel the effects of missing me, the old me that was perhaps a little more outgoing than I am today.  I think that when I finally reached a point where I had nothing more to give to anyone.. is when I knew that I had to find myself again. I feel like a different person today than I was a year ago, much less 2-3 years.

I don’t know if I will find the old me or a renewed me of the person I am today, but I certainly have felt the need to have a little more fun and that meant being a little more open to meeting new people and having new experiences. Opportunities don’t come knocking if you’re just on your platform.

So if you find me gone a bit more it’s because I’m out walking my new dog of course and hope to run into the cute neighbor. Just kidding! Actually, I have a really gorgeous neighbor in real life, but alas he’s taken.  Anyway, a big thank you to a friend who gifted me with a new dog.  I named the English bulldog I blogged last time with Rasco, as it was the name of the very first dog we had when I was a child.  I’m open to suggestions.

That sweet feeling called love

I’m posting later in the day than I like as time just seemed to run away from me today and it’s the first time I’m getting to sit at the computer.  Today I am featuring the latest creation by DaD Designs, which is the Sun Forest Cottage home.  It’s a lovely cottage centered on a vintage / shabby chic theme.  It basically has two large rooms, one separated by a wall with an opening giving it three rooms altogether. The porch has a glass roof top with leaves that can be changed by touch and you get nine colors to give you the season you want.

I have included some additional pictures at the bottom and details on the house from the creator to give you the view from the front of the house and the inside. It’s currently available at Shiny Shabby.

I am very proud to present my latest creation “Sun Forest Cottage” 100% original mesh.
The style is pure, vintage styles: shabby chic wood on both the outside and inside the house creating a home charm.
From the top down of every detail is vintage through out the house.
Outside on the porch with a glass roof from which you can get a glimpse of the leaves that are laid on the roof.
The leaves have a changer textures by touch with 9 colors included for every season.
Traditional interior: there is a living/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom/studio. at home. The color scheme of blue and white, it’s very relaxing palette.

Today I am featuring this mixture of cottage and castle known as the BeauRoche by M&M Creations, designer and creator of sculpted prims and mesh. The cottage/castle was inspired by a late medieval cottage found in rural France. It sits atop a small rocky rise that gives it a grandeur presence.

Basement

It’s highly detailed in both the mesh and textures utilized and to give a touch of realism the exterior texture has put-log holes to convey the age of the building.  All of the doors, gates and windows are scripted to open and close with original new sounds and the fountain seen in the first picture is scripted with running water that can be turned on and off.

First Floor

The balcony in the last photo could also be used as an entrance as the railing leading out from the house can be swapped out for a gate.  There is arch way in the courtyard/garden.

Second Floor

Each purchase includes a copy/modifiable version of high and low LOD build, and a template for the nameplate and also the shade maps.   The high has a land impact of 95 with the low at 56 with a footprint of 31×28.5 meter.
