Preparation for another day

Are you waiting anxiously for the new round of the Arcade? The trading chats are starting to buzz again as people prepare their lists.

Today I am showing the Bella Glamour Room Collection items from [ARIA], who is participating in this round. The complete collection consists of 3 rare items and 12 commons. The rare items include the vanity table, chaise, and chandelier. The common items include the vanity mirror, vanity stool, mirror & makeup bag, perfume tray, jewelry boxes, and vase with roses as well as the faux cowhide rug, side table, book pile, teacup, vase with single rose and framed prints.

There are texture options for the chaise and rose vases while the chaise and stool come with singles animations and some with attachable props. I’ve listed the items in the collection at the bottom.

I am also showing a sneak peak of one of the bears by BoOgErS called the Mother’s Day Bears Cuddle. I will be showing more bears very soon, but I couldn’t resist putting in one in today’s post.

The Home & Garden Expo is still ongoing. I’m showing the elegant chairs that have 9 animations and table from HJM Designs. There is a vase with flowers that is part of this set not shown. You will some other sets that go with this collection at the expo.

The orchid vase and arrangement is by Kaerri and is also at the expo. All these featured creators/designers have some wonderful home and garden decor and not just some of the donation items that benefit Relay For Life. They also have new releases to help decorate your home.

All this shown in the Expo Skybox, one of the new releases by aKa, at the Home & Garden Expo. Personally, I don’t do the skybox living, because I love having the ocean view and being surrounded by nature on the ground level. Though on occasion I have enjoyed them and especially those with city views.

Country clubhouse living

Today I am showing another item at the Home & Garden Expo that is ongoing until March 6th. The fishing shack is by Sahi Designs and includes the boat, rock and fishing rods with pail, lantern and the birch trees around it. The platform is not part of the shack as I just created it to place the shack in the water. There are six texture changing options for the bedding and four options for the house and trees.

If you haven’t heard the expo is the largest event that features some of the best home and garden designers on the grid who come together to raise money for Relay for Life of Second Life. The Relay for Life is the main fundraising event for American Cancer Society, and Relay for Life of SL is the virtual counterpart that supports this worthy cause.

The Cheyenne

Just doing a quick post and showing the Cheyenne log home by Greymoon Designs, a store that specializes in creating detailed mesh houses, furniture and garden stuff. It’s a huge home with open wide areas in the middle section of both the top and bottom with rooms on each side.

The creator uses original mesh and custom textures to create their low prim homes. This home has a land impact of just over 240, though you see it is a big home and comes in a rez box with everything you see pictured except the large spruces and the grass in front.

This last picture shows the outside space with a fireplace, which makes for the perfect space to enjoy the scenery from every direction.

The log home is available at the Home & Garden Expo on Hope 1 Sim.

Second Life Relay for Life Home & Garden Expo

She was simple & complicated

Hope your Monday is off to a great start. I am just grateful that I didn’t wake up with another headache this morning and despite waking up with a worrisome dream I feel quite rested. I also had an absolutely lovely weekend in both worlds so I feel very content.

Today I am featuring this dress, which is from a new brand called Mulloy. It’s an elegant sexy dress made to fit several mesh bodies as well as the classic sizes. The brand conveys luxury and classy chic so ladies stay tuned for some more great things from this store.

I was a bit of shoe and purse shopaholic in both my real and second life at one time and not so long ago. Over the last 3 years that desire to have the latest style and purchasing over $200 purses has waned, even if buying quality shoes is still a must, only not as often. I never really bought purses here in second life only shoes and I mean lots of shoes, so much shoes that a closet like these new ones by Bazar would have been the ideal thing to have. At one time early in my Second Life journey I did find a shoe closet that had rows and rows of shoes in a flat prim. It was one of my favorite things and I probably still have it somewhere tucked away in my inventory.

The closet is by Bazar and it’s at the Home & Garden Expo. I am only showing some of the individual pieces as the space only allowed for four here. Though the full set also comes in a rez box version so that all you have to do is rez the box and click to rez the scene of closets in perfect order. The other great thing is that there is a male and female version. The ottoman is also by Bazar and has poses for female, male and couples.

The last few days I have not been able to focus very well and so it has sort of slowed down my momentum in showing some more great stuff from the Home & Garden Expo. If you haven’t made it there yet, you should as it has some awesome new things to make your living in Second Life even more great.

Today I am showing items from two designers. The first is the dining table, chair and place settings by a fairly new designer who is selling under the brand Magnum Opus. The side table by the window is also part of this set and in the picture it has been modified both in width and height. This is one of the 100% donation items that supports Relay for Life of Second Life. The matching cabinet is a current subscriber gift.

The jug of flowers is by Chiana Oh and it is also a 100% donation item. I am showing the blue jug, but you get four colors in the set. The plates in the cabinet are a new release by the same creator, which coordinate with the donation items.

All you need is love and LOTS of ice cream

I love ice cream. I just can’t eat it all the time or at all depending on my tolerance for lactose at any given moment. Even if I think my tolerance is much better now then before. It used to be that immediately soon after eating a few scoops the enjoyment would turn into an uncomfortable situation. Now I seem to be able to eat it without too much pain even though I still get bloated quite easily… almost that feeling of having overeaten.

Though I love ice cream and will take that chance anyways! It’s early ~ though the thought of eating some chunky monkey ice cream sounds like heaven right about now. It’s one of the flavors from Ben & Jerry’s that has banana ice cream with fudge chunks & walnuts. You must taste it!

Today the little me is showing off this complete cute outfit by Buglets that consists of the dress, shorts, hair bows and sandals. It is available at the current round of Color Me Cute that runs until the 1st of March.

Hello everyone! Hope it’s a great Wednesday so far. Today I am showing this antique iron greenhouse by DaD Designs being released at the newest event called Whimsical that opens tomorrow at 12 am Second Life time. It’s 100% original mesh and comes in two versions with your purchase. With or without a ladder to climb on the roof, which is as easy as touching the ladder and sitting on the pose-ball that takes you up.

Always great to have so many options when it comes to landscaping and this time we have the New England trees by Little Branch, which are seasonal by the touch of a menu. They are currently available at the LTD Event, that runs until February 26th.

I am also showing some more items at the Home & Garden Expo. The planter of flowers are from Lunar Seasonal Designs and come with a menu giving you the option to change the colors of the planter, flowers, leafs and soil. There are so many textures for you to choose from making it a great deal. I’m showing another patio table and chairs set by beYou. This time its in a square version and I really like the feature of being able to open and close the umbrella. The deck set on the side is by M.Law, which comes ready to just place on a spot on your land… that is what I call convenience!

I like storms, they let me know that even the sky screams too

This Asian tea house by Pastiche that I am featuring is another preview at the Home & Garden Expo. The premier yearly event where you can find the latest releases of home and garden decor at a discount and at the same time support Relay for Life of Second Life.

Quite ironic that I get to post this picture taken on Sunday today and last night we had a raging storm just after midnight when I finally hit my bed. I laid there hearing the storm grow stronger as rain pounded against the house with the heavy wind mixed with the low rumbling sound of thunder.

Sort of the perfect weather for my own chaotic emotions as I laid there listening to the tempo of the storm increase in intensity. It’s like mimicking your own state of mind in that moment as you settle into bed letting the day’s events wash through you. The wet air coupled with leaving my fan on has given me a head cold once again. I woke up with a pounding headache and just now in the right frame of mind and less intense headache to get this post going.

Even though the effects of a storm can be quite damaging as evident this morning on reading the news of a tornado touching down nearby and over 500 households without power this morning I am never terrified of the storms that pass through. You get that tornado warning on the phone at 3 am telling you to find cover and I just snuggled deeper into bed. There is just something that seems exhilarating and energizing about them and once they pass there is that calmness one speaks about after the storm.

Home is where love resides

Happy Monday and President’s Day for those that live in America! Hope your weekend and your Valentine’s Day was fabulous and if you’re lucky to work in an office that closes in honor of our country’s leaders enjoy that extra day to relax.

In today’s post I am showing some more items at the Second Life Home & Garden Expo. Just a couple of things that I want to point out. The first is that most of the items that are being shown are the 100% donation items, which means 100% of the funds raised from the sale of these items will go to Relay for Life of Second Life. Though plenty of other new home and garden decor at a discount from some of the best content creators in Second Life, so make sure you take a visit to the expo before it ends on March 6th.

The other thing I want to mention is there are 9 sims at the expo full of home and garden decor with the 10th sim being the breedables section. Instead of repeating the sim landmark in the credits for each item, making the credits a bit messy with so much wording, I am going to try and remember to break it down by the sections that I am blogging items from.
