Lesson 51: The Love You Need
We all yearn for different expressions of love at different times in our lives. Sometimes we need acceptance and gentleness; at other times we crave passion and adventure. And although we often look to others to give us the love we need, the highest act of self-love is to learn how to give it to ourselves.
When we take the time to listen to the desires of our hearts, we nurture ourselves from the inside out. By giving ourselves the love we need, we no longer look to others to complete us.
Your Self-Love Assignment
For the next five days, take some time each morning to connect with yourself. Close your eyes and take a few breaths into the area around your heart. As you breathe in, notice any feelings or emotions that are present. Then ask yourself, “What is the love I need right now?” Is it acceptance? Gentleness? Acknowledgment? Respect? Rest? Appreciation?
As you hear the kind of love your heart is longing for, take five more minutes to shower yourself in that type of love.

Give yourself 100 points every time you give yourself the love you need.

When I was going through my inventory looking for what I might use today for the letter “W” I somehow gravitated to these cleaning supplies from “What Next” that I had not used. They were part of this past month’s Arcade and can still be purchased at the main store. Taking a break from cleaning to give some thought to something that I have been pondering the last few days.
I have been thinking that it is time to change houses. This is probably the longest that I have kept a home without exchanging it in two weeks. The layout of the house is fairly simple and yet it’s been one of my favorites. This has made me very reluctant to change.
I don’t know what I am going to do about changing houses in the near future. Probably more than likely, as I have about three new homes in my inventory waiting to be given a try. For now I am just going to give up the pretense of cleaning and just relax. 🙂

When nothing goes right, Go left.
I have this quirk that when I’m faced with having to make a choice between going right or left and there is no clear directions leading the way. It is almost obligatory for me to go right, because how can you go wrong when you’re always having to do the right thing, make the right choice and so it’s only right to take a right, right?
Now that I am rightly confused I’m off to get a bite to eat in the Small Town of Green.
After satisfying the hunger pains I headed to do a little exploring.

Tax Break
According to the Internal Revenue Service 25% of people wait until the last two weeks to file their tax return. Normally I’m not in that percentile, though this year I just couldn’t get motivated to get started even if I had all my paperwork in a stack sitting near my computer.
Now the clock is ticking with only hours before the big day. I settled into this comfortable chair to get mine completed. It didn’t take me that long, an hour if that. Though it’s one of those things that you really don’t want to do, especially if you’re in that percentile that has to mail in a check.
Up until now I have not put any credits on the items that I show in my pictures. Though after a bit of a chat with my sister this morning, she made a good point about not knowing where an item came from that you saw on a blog.
