Enjoying the quiet moment

Having a little time and being better focused than I was yesterday due to a terrible sinus headache I took the time to sit back and relax and catch up on blogs first. I was delightfully engrossed reading some of the stories shared by fellow bloggers of memories, what they’re up to or just in general a small tidbit of real life they share. It made me smile and I’m glad that I took the time to read and comment, as often we get so caught up in our own stuff that we can bypass those simple things.

Today I am featuring some fashion and home decor. I’m wearing one of the latest hairs by enVOGUE, which can be found at the main store. Janelle is fitted and rigged mesh and available in 96 colors, root & ombre colors that can be changed via HUD. I’m wearing a blond color in the diversity pack, because it gives me the freedom to choose depending on what I want to be today. ha!.

I’m wearing a mesh top made for Maitreya by {le fil casse} +// Lucid, which is part of a gamer girl gacha. There is three rares and 18 commons, all in various colors and sayings. The pink mouth accessory, My Geek World, is by Les Sucreries de Fairy. This cute hilarious professor pug is by [Black Bantam], and it’s static, but an interactive holdable pet that speaks to you and your friends at random. All these three items can be found at the Geeks & Nerds event.

The last items being featured is the decor. The Star Wars inspired gacha set made up of the sofa, chair, ottoman, mobile and wall posters are by enMeshed. The mobile and adult sofa are the rare items.

I’m showing some pieces from a fireplace set by Dreamscapes Art Gallery, that can be found at the Twe12ve event. It’s the pumpkins and candles on the table near the window and the beautiful picture frame above the sofa. I didn’t have room for the fireplace, but the individual pieces worked great for this scene.

Winter will be here before we know it

I’m switching gears from a fall scene earlier today to a winter scene this evening to feature this cute little winter outfit for the little ones in Second Life. It’s from BabyBurp and available at Penumbra Autumn/Winter Fashion show this week.

To complete my scene I am also showing this cotton candy car by Mushilu that is currently at Tres Chic and can be found in a few colors. The bench is a collaboration between Shutter Field and Decor Junction. If it looks familiar it’s because I showed a rustic version a few days ago.

I’ll probably be doing a short post a little later to also once again mention the upcoming Draftsman event that will be launching in mid November.

Home is where our story begins

There is always so much prettiness around the grid during the Autumn season. The burst of colors I see everywhere on blogs, flickr and in-world inspired me to do something a little more with this picture to show you the newest house release by DaD Designs.

The Southwoods Cottage is just beautiful. It includes a veranda in the front and on the inside it has a spacious main room, a bathroom and one bedroom. It’s 100% mesh with a footage of 16.8 x 16.0 with copy and mod rights and a land impact of 77. There is a snow add on that is sold separately if you are into the changing seasons. The cottage is available at Shiny Shabby.

I’m also featuring trees by Little Branch also available at Shiny Shabby. The London Plane that is near the front window and the young maples that are on each side of the steps. These are 4 seasons so great for all year long as the seasons change. The London is 7 land impact with the maple at 5, and will change if you resize up or down.

Then I’m also featuring more Fall items by [CIRCA], which are scattered throughout my scene. I’ve done some close ups to show you all the great stuff that you can find at the second location for [CIRCA].

Precious moments treasured

Happy Friday to everyone.

Today I am doing a fashion post featuring a few items from this round of On9 and some from Kustom9. The first is a new skin by Essences, which is Sophia and it’s a head applier for the Catwa mesh head. It comes available in 6 skin tones and the one I’m wearing is medium tone one. What I like about this skin is the thickness and darkness of the eyebrows. The lipstick is not part of the skin, but from Alaskametro<3 and it’s a 6 color Dryad set as an applier for Catwa at On9.

These lovely earrings in a rich citrine color I am wearing are from Kunglers. I wish that I could pull these off in real life, though with my small ears I feel the weight of almost any earrings I wear to be too uncomfortable. You will find these at On9, as well as the hair by EMO-tions. Melanie is rigged mesh hair and there are three versions included that sit the hair on your front slightly different. I chose one that would not hide the earrings and the tattoo.

The tattoo is a recently released one from Aurica Store. It’s called music and it’s got a guitar and musical notes embedded throughout its design, which makes it kind of cool for those music lovers. You can find it at the main store.

The dress I’m wearing is from Empire and at Kustom9. We know this creator for her awesome shoes, but she’s getting into fashion now too and this dress is not a disappointment as it has open back view and gives a lovely curvature to your behind. I’m wearing the one for Maitreya, but it’s also made for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Physique and Venus and a color hud with 20 choices.

The last item are the Savanna shoes by ChicChica at On9. They were practically a great fit to go with this dress. They are available in six colors and are made for Maitreya, Slink and Belleza. I really like how feminine these shoes look and especially the little flower accent at the the front.

Edited to include additional credits on the decor and mainly the dog, which I can’t believe that I totally missed it. The dog is from Jian’s Hallow-Inu gacha set at the Epiphany. I’ve previously showed one of the prince doggo, one of the rare dogs and this is one of the common wanderer dogs.

Game on boys

I’m participating in the Geeks ‘n’ Nerds Fair this year. It’s set to open the doors in a few days on October 22nd. It has a bit of everything for you to get your geekiness or nerdiest on.

Today I am showing a game master table with chairs and accessories set by Fiasco. The set comes with a decorated version set up as well as the individual pieces that you could use on their own or create your own game setup. The table with decorated game has a land impact of 5 with chairs being 2 and other individual games pieces with 1. The event will be open until November 5th. The poster below does not have the correct dates, as the event was pushed back as a result of Hurricane Mathew.

I’m also showing wall cubes in orange and black, the black planter and cube display decor pieces by ChiC buildings, available now at On9. This set is available in both black and orange at the event. I’m showing also a decor piece by ::New Church::, which is the TERRORium, called the Tree of Sorrow that sits on the cubes in the corner.

The vintage lovecraft comics on the floor are by [noctis] and available at Genre currently. The grid stander on the wall with the decor and other near the curtain wall is by Elysium and available at Totally Top Shelf. The last item being featured is the rustic bench, a collaboration between Shutter Field and Decor Junction. All great decor pieces for your decorating needs.

Draftsman, a SL Architecture Event

I’m introducing a new event called Draftsman, that will be coming next month. Draftsman, is a SL Architecture Event, that aims to bring together the best designers and architects in one bi-monthly shopping event. It will focus on original, unique mesh and taking us back through time from the dawn of man to the future societies of tomorrow.

This next picture is a collage of three photos of the sim to show the setup for designers and also share some of the awesome and inspiring quotes that you will see that line the walkways of the event platform.
