The [Den.] has come out with a new skybox — the Room 341 out now at the newest round of Uber. The size is 24 x 22 x 6m and is 73 prims. One of the things to note about the builds from this creator is they are easily adaptable to fit whatever need you may have. For example this skybox can easily be used as a personal home or used for a business and modifiable to customize to your liking. The first two pictures top and bottom of the photo below show the bigger room in dark and light lighting. The other two pictures show the skybox as a double without doors, which makes it great for a store.

Featured as well is the decor wall clock by unKindness currently at the monthly Tres Chic event. It’s available in a few colors. The other items by the same creator is the table and ottoman that is below the television at the LTD Event.

To decorate the room above I used items from Finishing Touches. The yellow loungers, rugs, round table with vases and the column shelves with the accessories are the hunt gift by Finishing Touches for the Twisted Hunt. There is one other piece as part of this gift that is not pictured, which is the column shelves as stand alone.

It’s been three years since I last fully did this annual hunt. If I remember correctly you get no hints to find the twisted hunt object and there are dozens and dozens of the same object all over the store. Though the gifts for the hunt were always pretty good as evident by the prize that Finishing Touches has put together for it. There are other accompanying pieces to this set available in gacha at the store.

Strawberry Land

The song has no meaning to this picture, but it was playing as I was starting to write this post. I’m in-world and dressed up in fantasy wear with a cape, so yeah superman has nothing on me.

Though it’s a beautiful song nonetheless that has some beautiful lyrics to encourage calling if you need a friend. Giving love to someone who needs it, and being the strong one when the other is weak. When all hope is gone, just take a chance and make that call and I’ll be there to save the day.

Yep, superman has nothing on me. I’m superwoman. 🙂

Holding On And Letting Go

First, thanks to everyone whose given me a kind word of getting well and each day feels better than the last. I was able to eat something other than soup last night and that definitely felt good.

As I was laying in bed last night reading I ran across a passage in the book where one of the male character was sharing he didn’t want to be that man everyone perceived him to be. The female character responds that having learned firsthand that no matter how many things she alters in her life she would never be the perfect woman. That we all make mistakes, give in to our weaknesses and stumble from time to time, after all we’re only human. Though with enough focus, we can make improvements over time. The short paragraph spoke volumes on so many levels for me.

A situation happened recently that has me feeling mixed emotions, down and yet it’s forced me to look at my feelings, other people’s feelings and my part in it. Kicking myself at the same time and wondering when did I lose my perspective and sensitivity that I missed seeing something. Could it have made a difference somehow if I knew what I know now. You then wonder, question and doubt. Not this time. There isn’t anything to wonder, question or doubt and I blame no one, but myself for this.

Yes, perfection doesn’t exist for me either. I stumbled and made mistakes on this life road, giving into weaknesses. Though life is presenting me with a chance to make it right and that’s where I am in my thinking of what should I do now. That place where your head and heart contradict each other. The side of harsh reality or the side where you hold on. I don’t want to get stuck in the what if’s anymore. I placed myself on hold for far too long now. I have no regrets for doing so. It shows hope is alive in me. My faith is strong. I gave my best. I gave my worse. I gave of myself and the love in me I knew. No, not perfect. Just me.

That’s where I am right now and having to decide what do I need to hold on and let go of to get myself refocused. I considered stopping to blog and even leaving Second Life, though it’s not something I’m ready to do. Though I feel the need to cut back on some of my commitments. One of those cuts is posts with lil me. Since one of the events I blogged for has been going through some internal issues and I blog only for a few creators, this seems like a reasonable place to start to pull back. This is not to say that I won’t ever take a picture again with her or take on a special assignment. I just won’t have the commitments that I need to make sure and honor. In fact, the little girl in me really needs some laughter to heal some of that brokenness I feel right now, so you may find a little imp running around on the grid soon. She’s starting to feel a little rebellious now.

For the most part I will be keeping only a few commitments and sticking to just home and garden. My other blog gives me enough room to expand on my love of fantasy and learning additional skills in the world of photography and digital art.

Thanks everyone for listening to my ramblings today. I think that in some way I needed to verbalize them to initiate a change and a change in me.

Letting go of me

It seems that after a few weeks of on and off head colds my body has finally given in and I’m sick. I pretty much have all the symptoms of the flu with the most severe having been the vomiting and this on and off fever. I know that’s just what you wanted to read.

It sucks being sick, but with that said I may be on and off here for the next couple of weeks or how ever long this sickness runs its course.

This picture was taken over a week ago at a location in Second Life called Netherwood, that is inspired by the picturesque English Lake District in the United Kingdom. It’s a lovely place and would encourage you to visit.

Preparation for the Easter Bunny

The topic of Easter has come up in some of our family gatherings many of times as we talk about how certain holidays are treated in America. While most know that Easter is a day in which the resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated, in accordance with Christian belief, it is not what most people talk of.

It’s mostly about the Easter bunny, the chocolate eggs and the Easter basket full of treats for the kids. I am not implying that we forget what this holiday means or that it’s not celebrated in some way like going to a church service. It just means it’s not an in your face topic of discussion for the most part.

With 9 nephews and 4 nieces who are now well over 18 I’ve had my share of contributing to the Easter basket. Some of them have children now and well they’re on their own!
